Weiqi is a Data Analyst with Research, Data & Impact (RDI) at WRI China and Data Lab. She supports data-driven projects and data infrastructure building in the China office, and also provides comprehensive support in data analysis and management to various projects across WRI's programs.

Prior to joining WRI China, Weiqi supported the data management of Resource Watch by updating geospatial datasets, maintaining near real-time scripts, and conducting data analysis for projects. Weiqi has worked previously as a research associate at the University of Michigan. She led research using high-resolution remote sensing and machine learning in sustainable agriculture.

Weiqi holds a B.S. in Geographical Information Science from Wuhan University, and an MSc in Environment and Sustainability from the University of Michigan. In her free time, she likes to watch movies and go hiking. She also loves tennis and coffee.
