Weiqi is a research analyst for Research, Data & Innovation (RDI) at WRI China. She supports the data-driven projects in the China office, and also assists the development and management of Resource Watch.

Prior to joining WRI China, Weiqi supported the data management of Resource Watch by updating geospatial datasets, maintaining near real-time scripts, and conducting data analysis for projects. Weiqi has worked previously as a research associate at the University of Michigan. She led research using high-resolution remote sensing and machine learning in the field of sustainable agriculture.

Weiqi holds a B.S. in Geographical Information Science from Wuhan University, and an MSc in Environment and Sustainability from the University of Michigan. In her free time, she likes to play squash and watch movies. She also loves tennis and coffee.
