Xiaotian Fu
Director, Food and Natural Resources Program, Sustainable Investment Program, WRI China

Xiaotian Fu is the Director, Food and Natural Resources Program, Sustainable Investment and Finance Program of WRI China. She leads the team and works together decision makers, private sectors, financial institutions, academia and civil society organizations on driving the sustainable food system transformation through some critical areas. The areas that Xiaotian works on include regenerative agriculture, sustainable soft commodity trade and supply chains, sustainable food consumption issues.
Xiaotian also serves as the Director of Sustainable Investment and Finance program by providing policy advice and research findings in finance and investment, facilitate an accelerated sustainable development in China and other developing countries.
Before joining WRI, she worked for Deloitte & Touche LLP and other research agencies, conducting research in the field of environment (water and solid waste), energy and transportation.
Xiaotian has a master’s degree in Economics from Dalhousie University, NS, Canada. She also has a double bachelor’s degree in Materials Science and Engineering, and International Trade and Economics from Beijing University of Technology, Beijing, China.
