Daiyang Zhang is a Research Analyst at WRI China Climate and Energy Program. She mainly works on subnational climate actions. Her work covers regional and key sector decarbonization pathways and socio-economic factor analysis of just transition in the Yangtze-River Delta Region. She also works on financing opportunities for building sector in the Greater-Bay-Area. She is closely following up international climate policy and actions progress. Previously, she was a Communications Assistant and Climate Communications intern at WRI DC office, responsible for data visualization, digital communications and climate communications research. She also had experience working in major news agencies such as Caijing, China Business News and China News Week covering environmental issues.


Daiyang holds a bachelor's degree in International Economics and Trade from Fudan University, and a master's degree in Communications, Culture and Technology from Georgetown University. She lives in Beijing with her family.
